Progressive Dispute Resolutions

If you or your clients are trying to avoid litigation, then you need a fresh perspective. Not another lawyer !

What makes an effective mediator

There is a popular misconception that mediators should have a legal background, which is not accurate.

Mediation should be a pro-active and interactive process, guided by a Mediator with extensive commercial experience and first hand knowledge of operating at the coal face.

The Mediator should have a good working knowledge of the legal system and above all an  understanding of how justice is determined by the courts, because this can often be profoundly different to expectations.

The Mediator

PDR believes that an effective mediator should have had experience successfully owning and running business's. No amount of professional training can compensate for first hand transactional knowledge and experience.
